Caltech Postdoc Association Celebrates 25th Anniversary
On Friday, September 25, the Caltech Postdoc Association (CPA) celebrated 25 years of fostering community and providing resources for postdoctoral scholars from all departments across the Institute.
"It was a special way to begin the new academic year: welcoming a new cohort of postdoctoral scholars while celebrating 25 years of the CPA. Caltech's postdoctoral community is not only a scientific powerhouse but also a vibrant and collaborative community with a strong sense of fellowship, and the CPA plays an important role in fostering that spirit," said Guillem Megias Homar, the chair of CPA and a David and Ellen Lee Postdoctoral Scholar Research Associate in Physics.
The anniversary celebration capped National Postdoc Appreciation Week (September 21–25), during which CPA hosted events to bring postdocs together—from a mental health seminar, a professional headshots session, and an appreciation breakfast to social gatherings centered on sweet treats.
