Construction and Parking
A map of construction impacts beginning May 30, 2025
Construction Impacts
- Ginsburg Center: Concrete pours are scheduled for June 3–6 to continue establishing the deck structure of the building. Contact [email protected] for more information.
- Downs-Lauritsen: Demolition of a tunnel opening that will connect Downs-Lauritsen to the Ginsburg Center is scheduled from June 16 through June 20 following Commencement. Expect loud noise and heavy vibrations that may affect building occupants throughout that week.
- Kellogg Lab: Ongoing demolition of concrete slabs and coring of walls for electrical conduits to power the Ginsburg Center will create moderate dust, noise, and vibration impacts near room B201A.
- Olive Walk: The walkway between Gates-Thomas and the Hameetman Center will reopen prior to Commencement on June 13. Ongoing work near the turtle pond will entail minimal noise, dust, and vibration.
Parking and Traffic
- Expect increased truck traffic around campus for concrete and material deliveries. There will be no parking, road, or lane closures.
Pedestrian Access
- See map above for areas that are limited to pedestrians. The southwest section of Olive Walk will be closed to pedestrians 7 a.m.–12 p.m., June 5.
